Logan Harper (1955/1956 - May 13, 1976) was a pureblood wizard, the son of Mr and Mrs Harper and older brother of Luke Harper. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1967 to 1974 and was sorted into Slytherin.
After graduating from Hogwarts, he joined the Death Eaters and attempted to recruit Luke. He was injured in a duel with Aurors in 1976 and went to Luke for help. Luke asked his then-girlfriend, Lily Evans, to heal him. Lily did and tried to persuade Luke to turn him over to the Ministry, but Luke refused and Logan disappeared.
He was killed by Auror Jack Lathe while evading arrest on May 13, 1976.

He asked third-year Alice Griffiths out for her first Hogsmeade trip. She ended up rejecting him.
He also used to date Narcissa Black.

Logan gets injured and goes to crash in the abandoned Harper's shop in Hogsmeade, but when he sees the Hogwarts students in the streets, he thinks of Luke Harper, his brother. He catches Luke's attention and calls him to meet at the shop. Luke heals some of his injuries but when Logan's chest starts bleeding again, Luke decides to bring his girlfriend, Lily Evans, to help brew a potion.
Logan is leaning against a sofa when the door opens to reveal Luke and Lily. Luke asks her to brew a potion and she tells him that Logan should go to St. Mungo's. Luke begs her to help because Logan refuses and he'll die. Lily approaches Logan to inspect the wound and he asks her what her name is. She answers him and he calls her a 'Mudblood'. He states that he doesn't trust Lily and her potion. Lily snaps at him and says "Fine with me" but as she starts towards the door, Luke pleads with Logan and Lily to work together and they agree. He drinks the potion and his wound stops bleeding but he falls asleep soon after he drinks tea spiked with sleeping draught by Lily.
Logan wakes up, not realising that his sleep was unnaturally induced. After a while, Luke falls asleep and Logan walks up to Lily. Lily lies and says 'no' when he asks if she's afraid of him. She tells Logan that she had drugged him and wanted Luke to turn him in but that he had refused. Logan mutters that he should kill her and Lily smirks, stating that he won't because he's not sure how deep Luke's feelings for her are. Luke wakes up soon after and Logan replies smoothly that they were only talking when asked what they were doing.
After Lily leaves to head to Hogwarts, Logan asks him if he has thought about his offer, to which Luke replies that he hasn't.
"Moments"[]
On the day of Professor Black's service, Logan asks Luke to follow through on the job he had offered—to move some boxes illegally, possibly for Death Eaters. Luke rejects his offer and begs him to turn himself in. Logan won't and Luke is afraid that there will be no one to take care of him if he gets hurt so he waits in the old shop where Luke can clean Logan and his friend up. The Aurors show up while they're on the job and someone dies so Logan and his friends argue because one of them thinks Luke told someone. Luke hasn't and Logan stands up for him, getting the others to back down. However, the Aurors show up again at Hogwarts so there was another fight and Logan breaks Luke's arm to show that they are both trustworthy.
"Out"[]
On May 13, 1976, Logan is killed by Auror Jack Lathe. This greatly impacts Luke Harper who blames himself as he felt he could have prevented Logan's death. Later, Luke leaves Hogwarts to go on trial in front of the Wizengamot for possible involvement with Logan's Death Eater schemes.
Physical Description[]
He was described as being good looking. He had dark—almost black eyes, a round nose and feathery brown hair. He shared some features, such as a similar jaw, with his brother, Luke.
